The week long course at Outdoor Adventure in Widemouth Bay, near Bude in Cornwall is open as an extra-curricular residential (subject to agreed leave of absence) and as a module requirement for PA557 Outdoor Adventurous Activities. The Module Outline can be found by searching studentcentral. The trip can also be taken as extension and enrichment for QTS Year 2 students and for all other students (subject to a leave of absence being granted by their course leader).

The £399 (including £75 non-refundable first payment) price includes:
- Coach transport to Widemouth Bay, Cornwall from Eastbourne;
- 5 nights full board accommodation at Outdoor Adventure;
- All instruction & equipment (e.g. surfing, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, abseiling, climbing, coasteering);
- Evening entertainment;
- University & Outdoor Adventure public liability insurance (for enrolled students and staff only).

- The first payment (£100) deadline is Friday 3rd February 2017.
- Balance (£299) due by Friday 28th April 2017.
Payments are via the online shop and are spread out to enable students to pay in instalments.

If you wish to pay in instalments, in order to secure a place on the trip the £100 non-refundable first payment must be paid by Friday 3rd February 2017. Note that this is not returned if you pull out / change your mind. The balance is to be paid any time before Friday 28th April 2017. You can do this by adjusting the amount listed in the box in the 'balance' option. You can also pay in one hit.
If you are taking the field trip as part of PA557 and you fail to pay the full amount, the university may bar you from progressing to your final year and / or graduation and list you as a debtor. Please contact GGraham Spacey if you have any financial issues to discuss a plan moving forward.
Please note – you will be asked to enter the student number and name of student on the course as it appears in their passport before you can process any payment. If someone is paying on your behalf (e.g. a parent), please ensure they process the booking as if it is the student.
The University of Brighton strive to deliver best value for money for field trips whilst making them economically viable for students to participate. The figure is a realistic expectation of the actual amount to be paid to the University for the field trip. If you over pay, you will be refunded the difference.
