This short course is designed to support NQTs to develop their confidence in primary mathematics teaching practice. The focus for this course is to develop the subject and pedagogic knowledge of NQTs, supporting planning for engagement and support in mathematics teaching. Course participants can expect to develop their subject and curriculum knowledge, to gain ideas of how to engage children, and to deepen their understanding of teaching and learning in their own classrooms.
Enhancing subject knowledge and classroom mathematics practice for NQTs and Early Career Teachers in
This short course is designed to support NQTs and Early Career Teachers (usually within the first two - three years of teaching) to enhance their subject knowledge and confidence in primary mathematics teaching practice. This course builds on the foundations of the “Developing subject knowledge and classroom mathematics practice for NQTs” short course although attendance at this earlier course is not a pre-requisite for attending this enhanced course.
