Detailed Description

This is an edition of 14 unique bags made from Jade Montserrat's summer commission banner, which was on show at Brighton CCA in 2022.  The commission, focusing on Montserrat's articulation of black histories, bodies and narratives consisted of six new works spanning the 45 metre façade of the building in the centre of Brighton and was the artist's first major public art commission in the UK.  Each bag combines imagery from two of the six commissioned works with strong straps, top zips and an internal pocket.  The bags are waterproof and hardwearing.
